CCIE Service Provider - (formerly known as Communications & Services) Service Provider certification indicates expert level knowledge in the fundamentals of IP technologies, as well as specialized knowledge in at least one of the networking areas specific to service providers, including Dial, DSL, Cable, Optical, WAN Switching, IP Telephony and Content Networking. A CCIE in Service Provider, IP elephony is considered a core IP expert with a high degree of VoIP literacy. This contrasts with a CCIE in Voice who is considered a VoIP expert, but not necessarily an expert in the infrastructure over which the VoIP solution is implemented.
